Our History
During our history, the good-will of esteemed companies such as Savory & Moore, Allens Chemist, Cross & Herbert, R Gordon Drummond, Kingswood GK, and of course Lloyds Chemist and Hills Pharmacy have collectively given our business an enviable footing on which to go forward.
Our parent company, Celesio AG purchased AAH plc (the UK’s leading pharmaceutical wholesaler) in 1995, and then in 1997, acquired Lloyds Chemists PLC, which at the time had 902 pharmacies. Together with AAH’s 350 strong Hills Pharmacy network, this took the combined group to over 1,250 pharmacies. This has now grown to over 1,650 pharmacies within the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
